![]() ![]() I really liked their dynamic and friendship. Weak build up aside, the story improves as Kit and Alice become friends. ![]() Alice and Kit’s first meeting happened so quickly that it felt like I had missed something. But we are immediately thrust into Kit’s POV, which resulted in a weak build up. I needed to be inside Alice’s head from the beginning to see her decision making process and to understand how she finally gathered the courage to approach Kit. There should have been some build up leading to Alice’s meeting with Kit. This book was off to a weak start, in my opinion. We’ve all read some variation of this trope before. At least part of the story takes place at a house party. The shy wallflower approaches the charming rake for love lessons. The Lady Gets Lucky is a rake and wallflower romance. I received an ARC from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review. ![]()
